A Tile Crew That Knows This Corner of Atlanta

How We Work

Poncey Highland Tile Installer is based at 695 Pylant St, right in the heart of Poncey-Highland. We work in the neighborhoods around us, primarily Poncey-Highland, Virginia-Highland, and Old Fourth Ward, because that's where we can show up on time and stay responsive when questions come up mid-project.

Our small crew focuses on tile and nothing else. That focus matters. We're not a general contractor adding tile to a long list of trades. Tile is what we do every day, which means we've worked through the tricky situations that come up in older Atlanta homes: plaster walls that need proper backing, unlevel concrete slabs from the 1950s, and bathroom layouts where the previous installer skipped the waterproofing membrane.

What We Care About

Substrate preparation is where most tile failures begin, and it's where we spend a disproportionate amount of our attention. Before a single tile goes on the wall, we check for flex, moisture, and levelness. We apply waterproofing membranes in wet areas, use appropriate thinset for the tile size and surface, and set grout joints that are consistent from top to bottom.

We also care about leaving a job site the way we found it, minus the old tile. Furniture gets covered, floors get protected, and debris gets hauled out at the end of each day.

The Neighborhoods We Serve

Poncey-Highland, Virginia-Highland, and Old Fourth Ward each have their own housing character. The Craftsman bungalows along Ponce de Leon, the Tudor cottages near Virginia-Highland's retail strip, the renovated row houses and new builds along the BeltLine in Old Fourth Ward. We've worked in all of them, and that experience shapes how we approach each new project.

What Sets Our Work Apart

Proper Substrate Prep

We check subfloor deflection, apply backer board where needed, and never skip the waterproofing membrane in wet areas. It takes more time upfront and prevents problems that show up two years later.

Locally Focused

We don't take jobs two counties away. Staying local means we know the building stock, we're easy to reach, and we can come back if anything needs attention after the job is done.

We Show Up When We Say We Will

Scheduling a tile project means rearranging your home and your routine. We respect that. Our crew arrives at the agreed time, communicates any changes early, and finishes within the estimated window.

Clean Jobsite Every Day

Tile work generates dust, broken pieces, and adhesive waste. We contain and remove debris at the end of each workday so your home stays livable during the project.
